Its been a while since I have posted. Life has got busy with both kids in school and Ryan in school as well. I do plan on posting at least twice a week from now own. I am thinking of posting some recipes of things I have been cooking in the kitchen as well as what is going on in our stores both on Amazon and Etsy. Todays post will be about our fall décor. I did get it all out at least a week ago and I am really happy how it turned out. I will be changing it up within this week to Halloween décor.
I used the fabric pumpkins on our dining room table and on the buffet. The metal tray on the dinning room table came from Hobby Lobby. Everything else I had here at home. The glass owl along with the owl salt and pepper shakers I have had for a while. Ryan bought the green chicken candy dish off shop goodwill for our Etsy store but we can decide to if we are going to sell it or not. Last time we were antique shopping Ryan was joking that he was going to buy a rooster and I didn’t think he was serious until we got home and he bought that on. No I really like it and don’t know if I want to get rid of it.
The wood box on the buffet is a toolbox Ryan made when he was in around 7th grade. His mom gave it to me and I have been using it to decorate with since. The rolling pins were both birthday presents. I have started collecting a few of them. I moved the lamps from our bedroom to the buffet. I think they look better in here then they did in our bedroom. I made the wreath our of yarn and felt flowers.
In the kitchen I usually go with the more traditional fall colors. This is where the kiddos eat their breakfast and supper everyday so they enjoy the more playful decorations. The table clothe I bought at either Target or Wal-Mart I can’t remember exactly. I made the candy corn decorations our of some Styrofoam cones and yarn. I made them 3 or 4 years ago and I think this may be the last year I can use them. On top of my cabinets I just added so faux leaf garland.
I really enjoy decorating for every season and I think my family enjoys it as well. I can’t wait to show you my Christmas décor.
Hi Sarah,
I love your decor on top of your cabinets. I hate to just see boring old pots and pans on top of cabinets. In my home, all my cabinets to all the way to the ceiling, but I hope that someday I’ll have cabinets I can decorate 🙂
