While we were visiting family in Alabama I mentioned wanting a quilt rack. My mother-in-law had one that she wasn’t using so she gave it to us. We have several old quilts that we had been storing, one that is mine and one that came from Ryan’s mamaw. Here is the before. Ryan says I have a sickness where I want to paint all things wood. That’s not true I just felt like we had plenty of wood things in our living room and this needed to be white.
First I started with a layer of grey/blue paint then I added a layer of white chalk paint on top. Its hard to see the color in these pictures but these are during the painting process. Please excuse the dog in the background I was painting this in our living room because it is stupid hot outside.
Here is the after shot. I really like the way it turned out and think it goes great in our living room. The green quilt is the one I used as a kid and carried every where with me. I am not sure where my parent got it or if someone made it for me but it has seen me through my childhood into adulthood. The pink one is the one we got from Ryan’s mamaw.
